Priscilla

“I continuously work to evolve and progress in my artistic skills so that I can remain a strong visual storyteller. For me, photography isn’t just taking a pretty picture, but chronicling the special moments and wonderful characters in life.”

Priscilla delved into photography post graduation from the College of Charleston in 2007. With a B.A. in Religious Studies and a history of contributing to academic journalism publications through writing and photography, she searched for a career that would allow her to merge her passion for all three. This led to photojournalism, where she pursued capturing the sacred narratives of people’s lives.

Around the same time, Priscilla also began photographing weddings. Her photojournalistic approach helped her visual perspective in capturing candid moments and emotive images of a couple’s special day. Along with freelance work and weddings, she completed coursework for a Master’s Degree in Visual Communication with a concentration in photojournalism and a cognate in multimedia from Ohio University.

Priscilla lives in Charleston. She loves to travel and is an avid This American Life listener. In her free time, she likes to attend local art and music events and just spending time with friends and family.
