Please welcome Jeanne to our team!

Throughout our search for photographers, it has been such a pleasure meeting so many talented and friendly people. After meeting Jeanne, it was like we had known her for years! She has that ability to relate to you, make you feel relaxed and to be your friend. That’s probably one reason why she is able to communicate such true feeling and emotion in her photography. She has that natural ability to see things like no one else and to capture it at just the right time! Jeanne comes to us with a wealth of experience shooting weddings and portraiture. She has a degree in photography and even teaches the art to college students.

We are so excited to have the opportunity to work with her and call her our friend. Please help us welcome Jeanne to the team!

I’ve never heard of Riverland, but I know this much… you have great taste and decision-making skills. Show us some pixels, Jeanne!

All my favorite personal photos are photos taken by Jeanne. Anything she belongs to will have gained a great asset. Congrats!

Becca & Russ {Charleston SC Wedding}

Looking for creative ideas for your wedding? Then check out Becca & Russ’s wedding at the Sewee Preserve on June 9th! This is one of our favorite wedding we’ve photographed so far, mostly because of the beautiful and soft light, lush venue, and handmade details. Becca painted tons of signs with her favorite scripture verses, as well as a table that displayed pictures from her and her husband’s trips to Africa. The most unique detail that Shannon and Jennings photographed was the area for children, where they had a blanket, crayons, and toys to entertain the kids. Thank you Ooh! Events for designing a great day and magical night!

Also, thank you to Becca & Russ for letting Riverland Studios be a part of your amazingly creative wedding!

GORGEOUS!!!! I love Becca and how Shannon and Jennings captured this! It looks like such a perfect day. :D

Please welcome Priscilla to our team!

When we posted that we were looking for experienced wedding photographers to join us, we couldn’t have imagined the talent we’d meet! Priscilla is an accomplished photojournalist who recently finished her graduate degree in Visual Communication from Ohio University. After seeing her portfolio, it became obvious that Priscilla is not afraid of any challenge when it comes to photography. She has captured everything from a Western Rodeo to Franciscan Monks! Looking at Priscilla’s work is a captivating experience. Her ability to find emotion and tell a story with her photography is truly stunning. And what about travel you ask? She has been to India, Jordan, Turkey and Greece to name a few and is always looking for new locations to shoot.

We are so excited to have the opportunity to work with her and call her our friend. Please help us welcome Priscilla to the team!

Summer Cookout 2012

The studio’s first annual summer cookout turned out to be the perfect combination of good friends, food, and fun! While last year we had a nice evening at Fish Restaurant, this time we wanted to do something a little more casual and fun. So what better way to have all the photographers together for a meal than to spend an evening at the family beach house on Folly Beach? Mat took care of the grilling while everyone else brought their favorite summer dish. The dinner had a Mediterranean and international theme and every bite was delicious! We also had the pleasure of welcoming our two newest photographers, Jeanne and Priscilla, to the group. With a beautiful sunset and mild Summer weather, we wouldn’t change a thing about this perfect evening together.

Aubree & Kris {Charleston SC Wedding}

On June 2nd, Caroline and Lucy had the pleasure of working with Aubree & Kris at St. James Episcopal Church on James Island. What a beautiful day it was! The shady oaks, bright sun, and old white buildings provided a happy and colorful environment for their wedding day. We LOVED working with this bridal party too; as you can see from the pictures, they were energetic and there to have fun. After a night of delicious food, hilarious toasts, and dance-offs, Aubree & Kris had a great sparkler exit with all their friends and family. We are so happy for y’all! Thanks for letting us be a part of this wonderful day.
