Congratulations to Anna Kate & Adam! They were married at Saint George Cathedral in Greenville, SC on June 30th in a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony. Brian & Kessie were there to capture the weekend’s activities in photos. The family and wedding party started things out Friday evening with a rehearsal dinner at Zen in downtown Greenville. We love the elegant and modern vibe of this event space!

On Saturday, Anna Kate & Adam decided on a “first look” and formal photos before the ceremony. We love this idea for couples because it gives them a few special moments alone with each other before the ceremony and gets everyone to the reception faster since the photos are done! And talk about a fun reception… everybody was on the dance floor for this party! The photos say it all and we love everything about this unique and special day. Thanks Anna Kate and Adam for sharing it with us!

When we began our search for photographers to join Riverland Studios, we hadn’t given much thought to working with someone outside the Charleston area. Brooke, a wedding photographer and long-time family friend, contacted us and asked what we thought about teaming up with her to shoot weddings in Columbia, South Carolina. Needless to say, we were immediately on board and excited beyond belief! Brooke has established herself over the years as an incredibly talented wedding and portrait photographer. We’ve admired her photographs for a long time and feel blessed that we have the opportunity to work together.

Kate & Sully {Old Village, Mount Pleasant}

Family and friends gathered together in the Old Village area in Mount Pleasant for Kate and Sully’s beautiful June 16th wedding. Kate and her bridal party chose the historic Post House to get ready before the ceremony. We love the light and sunny atmosphere in this gorgeous Southern setting! The ceremony took place nearby at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church followed by a reception for guests at the Lighthouse on Shem Creek. The natural coastal elements of the venue and the rustic antique touches in the decor created the mood for the evening. Guests danced the night away to the sounds of Myrtle Beach Motown band, NTRANZE! It was truly a picture perfect day… see for yourself!

Meg & Ike {Charleston SC Wedding}

We are so excited to share with y’all Meg & Ike’s beautiful summer wedding at First Scots Presbyterian Church and Legare Waring House! Everything for this big day was classic Lowcountry, including the food, colors, and decorations. And check out their tent! The moss covered letters, sweet grass fans, and twinkling lights all contributed to an elegant Charleston night. Meg wanted her wedding to feel as if people were walking into her home and just having a party. To do this, she decorated Legare Waring House with pictures of her and Ike throughout the years. We owe a big thank you to Red Letter Events for putting together a beautiful wedding to photograph!
