Last week, Emily had the opportunity to capture some gorgeous Boone Hall Plantation engagement portraits and we’re thrilled to share them with you today. One of Charleston’s most beautiful wedding destinations, Boone Hall, is perfect for portraits any time of year and Emily featured the location’s many vistas in her photographs. Sydney and Matt are from the Boston area and wanted to incorporate some of Charleston’s iconic live oaks and spanish moss. The avenue of oaks at Boone Hall was the perfect spot for them. We love the portraits of the lovely couple in her simple chic white dress and Matt in a suit. We love how Emily captured their timeless classic look with such a breathtaking southern backdrop.
The cotton dock is perhaps Boone Hall’s most beautiful location, with a rustic building perfect for gatherings and an intimate dock that offers stunning views and a fantastic backdrop for all photos. Sporting more casual and warmer attire (it is winter after all, even in South Carolina), the duo opted for jeans and boots for their visit to the cotton dock. We absolutely love the photo of Matt holding Sydney close to him, the love between them is tangible and the black and white makes the moment that much more powerful. Before calling it a day, Emily took the couple back to the avenue of oaks for a few more photos of them walking hand in hand, surrounded by the immaculate beauty of the trees arching high overhead.
We would like to thank the both of you again for choosing Riverland Studios to share in your engagement portraits and for being so fun to work with. We wish you nothing but the best as you continue on your journey toward your wedding! Congratulations in advance!
