Kevie & Chris {Seabrook Island Wedding}

We have an elegant and fun beach wedding to share with you on this hot Charleston afternoon! Kevie and Chris hail from the beautiful state of Colorado but love the beach and decided to have an intimate wedding at Seabrook Island’s Ocean Terrace last weekend. Kevie and Chris met through a mutual friend after Kevie had just moved to Colorado, and immediately hit it off. Professionally, they are both counselors, and in their free time they enjoy many activities together including driving in the mountains, game nights and good cigars.

Seabrook Island, which is just south down the coast from Charleston, is a great place to have a destination wedding. The Island offers a variety of ceremony locations, catering, lodging arrangements for your guests, so many weekend activities, and of course a gorgeous beach. We can almost feel the cool ocean breeze looking at the photos of their waterside ceremony. Tiger Lily Florist did a beautiful job arranging a simple altar between two palm trees that perfectly fit the elegant beach venue. Kevie’s bouquet is also so beautiful with different shades of purple, blue, green and white. And Kevie looked like a vintage Hollywood star in her glamorous beaded halter gown and accents of red on her lips, nails and shoes. We are also swooning over her jewelry which was equally glamorous and subtly vintage as well.

After their ceremony, Jeanne spent time photographing these two around Seabrook’s Ocean Terrace grounds which provided so many great spots for portraits. We love Jeanne’s creative perspective on some of these portraits, using the surrounding landscape to enhance Kevie and Chris’ emotional expressions. We especially love the one of them seated on the stone bench after their ceremony! The love between Kevie and Chris is so clear in their portraits, and we wish the best for these newlyweds!
