Kelsi { Boone Hall Plantation Bridal Portraits }

Jeanne had the privilege of photographing Kelsi in some Boone Hall Plantation bridal portraits and we’re very excited to share them with you.  Just north of Charleston in beautiful Mount Pleasant, Boone Hall is one of the country’s most well-known and well preserved cotton plantations.  The grounds feature a 3/4 mile avenue of oaks, the Cotton Dock overlooking Horlbeck Creek and gardens with seasonal flowers.  During their time together, Jeanne maximized all Boone Hall had to offer and placed Kelsi within the history and beauty of the plantation.  Beginning at the Cotton Dock, Kelsi was framed in one of the long windows overlooking the creek before walking out onto the dock itself for billowy portraits.  Following a quick stop at the wrought iron gates, Kelsi walked through the gardens bursting with summer color which added a touch of natural beauty to the rustic portraits.  Kelsi’s flowing gown was perfect for her whimsical surroundings and complimented beautifully by an embellished belt and matching bangle. Kelsi’s bouquet of red, pink and orange included roses and cafe au lait dahlias – some of our favorite florals. This vibrant floral design mirrored the sunset closing in as the experience drew to an end.

Jeanne previously had the pleasure of capturing the engagement portraits for Kelsi and Chad at Mepkin Abbey 45 minutes outside of Charleston in Moncks Corner.  Using the natural elements of the location, Jeanne framed the couple in front of a giant overturned tree and also lounging beneath hanging branches.  A chandelier brought a unique and fun element to the lighthearted portraits.  With her in a beautiful white summer dress and him in a stylish vest, plaid shirt and jeans ensemble, the couple certainly complimented the southern feel.  Shortly after the bridal session, Kelsi and Chad joined their lives in a beautiful ceremony at The Lakehouse at Bulow south of Charleston on John’s Island.  The outdoor ceremony took place on the steps of the house and featured chic southern elements such as mason-jar vases.  Dancing next to a private lagoon, the couple looked lost in each other, even with family and friends buzzing nearby.  After having their fill of food, drink and fun, the newlyweds escaped through an arch of sparklers, but not before Chad stole one final kiss amidst the cheering crowd.
