Jessica & Stephen { Gadsden House Wedding }

We’re so excited to share Jessica and Stephen’s wedding today! These two Charlestonians were married last weekend at the Medical University of South Carolina’s beautiful St. Luke’s chapel. This quaint chapel is located near MUSC’s campus in a beautiful historic district. We just love the portraits captured of these two against St. Luke’s brick facade, under its big colorful stained glass windows. These Charleston locals planned their wedding day well, and kept the reception nearby at the Gadsden House on East Bay Street. We can’t say enough good things about this brand new venue! It’s located on the peninsula and has the additional perk of convenient parking, which is a rare luxury in Downtown Charleston. The building is historic and has gorgeous high ceilings, chandeliers and  wraparound porches! And everything is freshly renovated, including the bridal suite located on the third floor, which overlooks the Charleston cityscape. Another feature we love is the joggling board on which Cana captured some beautiful moments of these two. Sage innovations did an amazing job decorating the rooms of the Gadsden House with classic pinks, greens, and whites and Blythe Hill created some beautiful floral designs.

Jessica and Stephen met at MUSC where she works as a physician’s assistant and he was visiting on a medical sales call. When they’re not working these two love to travel together and try new things! After dinner catered by Hamby Catering, Jessica and Steven enjoyed an evening full of dancing and laughter with their friends and family. Also how sweet is their exit from the Gadsden House?!  Their guests received cute bags of lavender to toss at the newlyweds said goodbye! And what’s the best getaway vehicle for a downtown Charleston wedding? Of course a rickshaw! We love the way they adorned their getaway rickshaw with flowers and the traditional Just Married cans!
