Alice & Bryce were married this past Saturday at one of our favorite Downtown Charleston venues, the Thomas Bennett House. The house’s historic charm and beautiful architecture was the perfect backdrop for this elegant affair.
Alice met Bryce freshman year at Davidson College. They were together all through college, in spite of times apart and semesters abroad. Alice put their story into perfect words, “We both look back at our college decision and agree our meeting was meant to be. Except for that one evening in April 2008, we might never have met. You can never know what a difference one meeting will make!”
Their wedding decor inspiration was very unique. Bryce proposed to Alice in Washington D.C. inside the White House, where she was interning at the time, so they decided to bring the colors of the interior of the White House into their big day! They used deep teals, bright goldenrods, dark evergreens, and solid browns in their flowers and in the bridal party’s attire. Their goal was to enhance the natural beauty of the surroundings with elegant, but not extravagant, details.
Thank you Shannon for these beautiful images! Congratulations Alice & Bryce.
