Wedding Photography at the Historic Rice Mill
ABOUT THE MILL
Overlooking beautiful Charleston Harbor, the Historic Rice Mill is one of Charleston’s most unique wedding venues. The mill is easily adaptable for weddings and receptions and unique features inside and out offer a truly one-of-a-kind wedding experience. The main hall of the Rice Mill showcases wooden floors, beautiful brickwork and large windows overlooking the harbor. Decorated to reflect classic Charleston style and color, the effect is an inviting atmosphere. Outside, a wraparound deck features an airy porch and marsh views indicative of the Charleston peninsula. The facade is representative of Civil War Era industrialism and features both period and modern elements. Having an on-site caterer, Good Food Catering, makes for a seamless wedding experience.
WHY WE LOVE PHOTOGRAPHING AT THE HISTORIC RICE MILL
Our photographers look forward to the opportunity to photograph at the Historic Rice Mill because of the unique portraits and special moments we are able to capture. The interior of the venue is warm and inviting, and its wooden floors and wide windows provide a beautifully natural undertone to photos. Evening portraits are especially gorgeous as sunset blankets the harbor in a soft, golden light. Outdoors, the photographers adore the ocean views that offer an iconic Charleston look for destination weddings. Additionally, ceremonies held outside take advantage of the beauty of the grounds. We love how the lush marsh greens contrast with the original brick of the mill. Whether a seasoned local or the treasured guest, the Historic Rice Mill offers something for every taste and our photographers await the chance to share your moments with you.
