ABOUT THE HALL

WHY WE LOVE PHOTOGRAPHING AT HIBERNIAN HALL

Our photographers adore photographing this beautiful venue because of the deep history and the gorgeous architectural elements that contribute to perfect portraits. Though touching the bustling Downtown Charleston streets, Hibernian Hall is the heart of the historic district. Across the the street is a cobblestone path and Washington Square which boasts of oak trees. Hibernian Hall itself is lovely with Roman columns and ornate ironwork, which makes for a stoic and timeless backdrop for Charleston portraits. Our photographers love to capture couples dancing alone in the rotunda, lost in their first moments as newlyweds. The rich wood floors and pale cream walls of the reception hall compliment nearly all wedding color palettes and can create an inviting atmosphere for intimate gatherings or festive celebrations. Luxurious grey curtains supplement the wide windows lining the halls during the day and bulb chandeliers cast a golden hue to evening events. Regardless of taste or desire to take part in Charleston’s history, Hibernian Hall truly does fit every event.
