We are excited to share some of our favorite moments Emily captured at a recent Wachesaw Plantation wedding. Wachesaw Plantation is located on the Waccamaw River in Murrels Inlet, two hours northeast of Charleston. Tracey and Justin met through her sister and maintained a long distance relationship while she finished school, then she moved to be with him. They chose the venue for its elegance and waterfront views, perfect for their casual, beach theme. The day began with Tracey getting her finishing touches underneath hanging Spanish moss. Her embellished lace gown was stunning, perfectly complimented by her soft pink and white bouquet and sequined belt.
The couple’s first look was touching, and Justin was all smiles when he saw his gorgeous bride. After a few riverfront portraits, and a quick kiss of course, it was time to head over for the ceremony. Passing by a sign that read “LOVE” and a beautiful quote by E.E. Cummings, the guests were led to the ceremony site on the banks of the Waccamaw. After the wedding party made their entrance, each sporting dresses or suits of navy blue, the adorable flower girl tossed petals along the aisle. Standing at an altar flanked by ornate plants, with the river gently flowing behind them, Tracey and Justin became newlyweds. They led the way to a light, airy clubhouse that was transformed into a beautiful, beach-themed reception.
With lamps hanging from the Spanish moss near the entrance, to a surfboard serving as the guestbook, the reception exuded the simple elegance the couple had imagined. The tables were draped in white with blue place settings and centerpieces that mirrored the bridal bouquet or featured sea shells and hydrangea. As Bullfrog played on the outside deck, guests were treated to a delicious meal provided by the Plantation itself before getting the party started on the dance floor. Tracey and Justin headed through the crowd for their first dance and were all smiles touching noses as they slowly spun to the music.
We would like to thank you both again for allowing us the privilege of capturing the wonderful moments at your wedding and we wish nothing but the best for you in this new chapter. Congratulations!
