Shannon headed West of the Ashley for a romantic Magnolia Plantation elopement, and we’d like to share the gorgeous event with you today! Elopements are a perfect opportunity for a couple to put their personalities into an intimate and often breathtaking day free of distraction. Stephanie and Matt, from the Queen City of Charlotte, North Carolina, had this exact mindset when deciding on Magnolia Plantation as the locale for their “I Dos.” With so much natural beauty and southern charm, Magnolia Plantation is one Charleston’s most amazing venues and the perfect place for a quiet ceremony.
Before the ceremony, Shannon took a few shots of the couple in their chosen outfits. Stephanie’s eggshell cotton and lace dress was simply gorgeous and complimented beautifully by a bouquet of brilliant pink roses. Matt looked sharp with his striking blue suit with matching watch. The custom ‘T’ cufflinks added a unique twist to his handsome look. Both bride and groom looked fantastic on Magnolia Plantation’s bridge over the pond and we love the deeply southern feel that matched their ensembles perfectly.
A worn and beautiful gazebo that looks plucked from an 1800s garden was the perfect spot for Stephanie and Matt’s ceremony and they became husband and wife surrounded by lovely Spanish moss. After a return to the bridge for a few portraits with them together, Shannon took the newlyweds to a grove of Magnolia’s famous live oaks. The huge branches sprawled high overhead in an idyllic scene perfect for gorgeous newlywed portraits. The duo look so happy and we’re lucky to have had the privilege of capturing their elopement.
Stephanie and Matt, you two looked awesome! Thank you for choosing us to chronicle your wedding and we wish you health and happiness as you begin this next chapter in your lives. Congratulations again!
