Shelby & Corbin {Charleston Engagement}

We just love the story of Shelby and Corbin’s holiday engagement.  Shelby had gone out for some last minute Christmas crafting supplies one December afternoon, and was pleasantly surprised when she arrived home to an eagerly awaiting Corbin. He had told her that he and their son, Hudson, had a very special ornament for her on their tree, and that she should go find it.  As she searched the tree for her new ornament, Shelby was shocked to find a gorgeous engagement ring hanging from a branch in the clearing.  At that moment Corbin and Hudson got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage.  So sweet!  They decided on Charleston for their destination wedding, and we are so excited that they chose to make a trip for their engagement portraits as well!  We are absolutely in love with this sunrise portrait session captured by Bridgit.  As if a Charleston engagement wasn’t already too much beauty to handle, add in the warmth of a sunrise and you won’t know what hit you!  Although waking up before dawn to get dolled up and ready to be photographed may sound scary to some, we promise it is so worth it!  The warm, romantic light that a sunrise offers simply cannot be beat.  Shelby and Corbin woke up bright and early to meet Bridgit at Folly beach to snuggle up in that golden glow of the sun, and boy did it ever pay off!  These soft, romantic images really showcase the love between these two perfectly.  Shelby looked absolutely stunning in her pale blue dress that complimented her gorgeous red hair perfectly. They walked along the shore, taking in the calm and peacefulness of the ocean at morning, and then continued their session in Downtown Charleston.  Just when you thought these two couldn’t be more adorable together, Corbin takes her hand and twirls her around in a dance under a shaded tree.  Swoon!  It is clear from their big, genuine smiles that Shelby and Corbin are head over heels for each other, and we are so glad that we were able to capture that love!  Thank you so much for having us along to shoot your Charleston engagement, and we cannot wait until the big day next April!
