Cana ventured Downtown for a lovely Charleston Yacht Club wedding and we’re elated to share some special moments from that day! Sarah and Joey met at a party on the Pitt Street bridge on the Fourth of July and both enjoy activities on the water. Given their shared interests and a desire for a semi-casual soiree, the Charleston Yacht Club was a perfect setting for this beautiful day. Sarah’s strapless lace gown was perfect for the season and we love the gold and pearl necklace and matching earrings. A gorgeous bouquet of varying pinks and shades of white completed the bridal look. We love the colorful spread of roses accented by the softness of lambs ear. The couple opted for a fun first look in White Point Garden, joined by their respective parties. Sarah and Joey had a blast playing with some of their younger guests and found a little bit of time for their own pre-ceremony portraits.
At the Yacht Club, a private deck was decorated with white chairs accented on the aisles with burlap bows and gyp. Against the boats and marsh in the distance, the space had the distinctive Southern flair Sarah and Joey wanted for their guests who had traveled from across the country. Following the ceremony, Cana took the opportunity to capture some lovely newlywed photos on a nearby dock. The waterscape and marsh create a romantic backdrop for their first portraits as a married couple.
Inside, the guests were mingling and enjoying some pre-dinner cocktails. The crafty guestbook features pictures of the couple and faux-worn pages to create a keepsake that will look amazing in their home. Following a delicious meal crafted by The Pampered Palate and several beautiful speeches, Sarah led Joey onto the dance floor for their first dance. The party then kicked into high gear. We love the photos of one guest flipping and of the young gentleman letting loose. Some guests grabbed the newlyweds and hoisted them into the air and we love the smiles all around. As the night drew to a close, the guests sent Sarah and Joey off by releasing balloons into the night. It was a beautiful end to a wonderful day.
We would like to thank you both again for allowing us to share your beautiful day with you and wish you nothing but the best in the years to come. Congratulations again from all of us here at Riverland Studios!
