Meredith & Phil { William Aiken House Wedding }

Shannon headed to one of Charleston’s most historic venues for a gorgeous reception, and we’re happy to finally share our favorite moments with you.  A William Aiken House wedding is a dream come true for those looking for a sophisticated or period atmosphere for their special day.  The antique furniture, beautifully ornate rooms and brilliant hues make for exceptional portraits and unique atmospheres throughout the space.  And yet, despite being its own wonderful location with tons of characters, couples still manage to coordinate beautiful receptions to make the William Aiken House their own.

While Meredith and Phil were exchanging their vows at the house’s beautiful arbor, the rooms were being transformed into lively spaces full of chic decor that beckoned one and all to a night of food and fun.  Royal blue and soft pink were everywhere, from monogrammed throw pillows to luxurious tablecloths and lush centerpieces.  The ‘wow’ room was the main dining area with its brilliant red walls that complimented the pearl dust tablecloths and antique detail.  And Fish catering’s gorgeous cake was perfect for the southern chic theme, magnolia-inspired and adorned with fresh flowers.  The stage was set for a raucous evening!

Meredith and Phil made their grand entrance and took to the checkerboard floor for their first dance and the beautiful bride was all smiles as she took in all of those who came to celebrate.  Meanwhile, guests were taking the opportunity to sign the guest book, or guest board as it were – a surfboard was an inspired and unique choice in lieu of the traditional pen and paper.  After some drinks, some food, some cake and lots of laughs, it was time for the couple to bid their party adieu and head out into the night for some adventure.  And Phil was the perfect gentleman, holding the umbrella in the light rain while stealing just one more kiss.  A magical moment and fitting end to a lovely day.

Thank you both for choosing us to take part in your wedding day.  We had so much fun getting to know you and your family and wish you nothing but the best as you move forward into this next chapter of your lives!  Congratulations again!
