There are fewer moments as beautiful as a marriage proposal, from the setting to the words to the ring. Bridgit was lucky enough to be part of a recent Magnolia Plantation proposal and we’d like to share it with you today! As far as natural beauty and romantic atmosphere, Magnolia Plantation is one of Charleston’s best venues for portraits. With majestic oaks, manicured gardens, and an iconic bridge over a calm pond, the plantation has something for every taste. For our couple, the spot was picked and Bridgit was ready. With the still waters of the pond behind him and a cool breeze in the late afternoon air, Blake descended to one knee and asked Makayla to be with him forever. An elated smile, a few tears and a “yes” later, the duo became engaged.
After joining the couple, Bridgit took them to the best spots Magnolia has to offer. Makayla’s fuchsia dress and printed shawl added a lovely pop of color to the natural greens and browns of the plantation. Blake was pretty handsome himself in blue jeans and long-sleeved button-up. They looked fantastic together atop the white bridge with the hanging moss and dark water creating a romantic, southern atmosphere perfect for their portraits. Blake and Makayla’s playful personalities showed through as they walked along an oak-lined path, with Blake sweeping Makayla up for a sweet kiss. We absolutely adore their riverside cuddle session. Then they danced beneath the oaks and enjoyed their first moments together as future husband and wife.
Congratulations to the two of you. We wish you all the best as you plan your future together!
