We have the sweetest Historic Charleston engagement to share with you today! Haley had the pleasure of venturing to the peninsula this past New Years Eve to meet up with the newly engaged Kim and Edward, and we are excited to share some of our favorites from their session. The historic peninsula of Charleston is always one of our favorite locations for engagement shoots. There are endless hidden nooks and crannies, beautiful ironwork and doorways, brightly colored facades that keep us constantly inspired and lead to some pretty magical and romantic photos.
Haley started with the couple wandering the streets and finding some of the city’s iconic ironwork for the couple to cozy up against. Kim was perfection in her cobalt blue tailored dress and magenta blazer, finished with tall leather boots. Edward matched her polished look with his perfectly executed layers, we just love his camel colored blazer. Charleston has some of the most picturesque cobblestone alleys, and Haley sure found a charming one – how cute are Kim and Edward just dancing through it!
After a quick wardrobe change, this trio wandered the streets a little longer finding gems like that fun bright orange wall before finishing up the session at the stylish Spectator Hotel bar. This speakeasy inspired bar has a 1920’s glam to it, and makes for the perfect night cap for this romantic and playful engagement session. The last image of the lovebirds snuggling up is definitely one of our favorites, be sure to check it out!
We want to thank Kim and Edward for allowing us to spend the day wandering the streets capturing their love! Good luck with the upcoming wedding planning!
