Emily recently spent a day on the water photographing a romantic Cottages on Charleston Harbor wedding, and we’re so excited to share some of our favorite moments with you. Kelley and Tom met at Georgia Tech and, even though their relationship had faced many trials, they were beyond elated to finally get married. Their wedding day featured a gorgeous first look, an airy and romantic ceremony on the sand and an inviting reception filled with lovely details! A palette of gold and pale pink added a softness to the design. Kelley stole the show in her gorgeous Demetrios gown with matching bracelet. Tom sported some pale pink himself, a bow tie that complimented his grey-blue suit. They looked perfect together during their first look on the dock. Spending time with the wedding parties, the couple was all smiles as they laughed with their friends.
The beach ceremony was absolutely amazing. The rich browns and creams of the benches were gorgeous on the sand in front of an altar of flowers flanked on either side by a row of grey stone. With the ocean rolling lazily behind them, Kelley and Tom exchanged vows and then celebrated! They didn’t have far to walk to get the party started and the huge sperry tent was simply lovely. The décor mirrored the ceremony in style and palette and the boughs of pink roses made the entire space resemble hanging gardens. We also love all of the waterfront spaces that guests were given to congregate and share drinks and memories with each other. For a romantic, warm wedding, this inviting detail was absolutely perfect.
As the sun’s rays were fading, Emily stole Kelley and Tom away for some newlywed portraits. They returned to the dock, and the day obliged their color choices with a spectacular pink and gold sunset. Such a moving atmosphere and we’re so lucky we were able to capture these two beneath that beautiful color. Soon, they ventured back to their guests and danced under some more vivid lights before deciding to call it a night. With friends and family holding sparklers up high, Kelley and Tom made their getaway into their next adventure!
Thank you both again for bringing us along for a beautiful and inviting wedding. It was such a pleasure and we wish you nothing but love and happiness for years to come.
