Kate and Hamp were married in a classy, whimsical William Aiken House wedding and we’re excited to be able to share the first images with you! The William Aiken House is a nationally registered historic property that has been called THE place in Charleston for a wedding. We absolutely love the first look photos and Hamp’s reaction when he turns to see his lovely bride. Before walking the aisle, the couple took a few portraits with their lab-pyrenees, Layla, whose custom floral collar was perfect for this romantic occasion.
The courtyard ceremony was elegant with the white sheer fabric draping from the terrace arbor. The bridesmaids’ periwinkle blue dresses added a subtle pop of color against the earthy surroundings. Their bouquets were vibrant and seasonal, while Kate’s bridal bouquet was simply ethereal with a gorgeous mixture of white florals that included astilbe and cafe au lait dahlias. We also adore Kate’s strapless gown with its chic lace overlay. Her bridal style includes a classic bracelet and flowers adorning her partial up-do.
Meeting at Auburn University, it was not love at first sight but by the end of senior year, love had brought Kate and Hamp together. With a pair self-described as outgoing and fun, qualities that extend to their respective families, it is no wonder that the beautiful reception was a lively and elegant affair. After a delicious meal and some delectable cake from Fish Catering, everyone took to the outdoors for drinks and dancing to Liquid Pleasure. Sharing laughter and making memories with family and friends, the couple found time for everything they wanted in their special day. And how does a fun, adventurous couple leave the best day of their lives? Underneath an arch of sparklers held by those who have made such an impact in their lives before jetting off in a vintage Rolls-Royce.
Congratulations again to Kate and Hamp and all the best in the years to come!
