Emily ventured to the peninsula for a lovely Downtown Charleston engagement session Jacquie and Cameron. These lovebirds met at a bustling hot spot in Toronto, a night they described as the end of a long search for love and the beginning of a lifetime of romance. How sweet is that! Self-proclaimed big romantics at heart, Charleston offered perfect enchanting backdrops from its romantic cobblestone streets to historic facades and iron work.
(Cameron is even known to regularly hand pick bouquets for Jacquie!)
These active sweethearts were both dressed in a classic tailored style. Jacquie in a light pink crisp blouse that match her cute pink pumps and Cameron sporting a bright blue blazer. Their session started in one of the city’s picturesque parks, with beautiful oak trees, and those iconic cobblestone streets. They wandered a little more on the southern part of the Peninsula, finding some beautiful brick exteriors, and brightly colored windows, before heading north to Hampton park.
Hampton Park is one of the City of Charleston’s largest parks. It has a rich history, extensive floral displays and even a duck pond and fitness track. Emily captured some dreamy images in the park as the sun was starting to set. We can’t help but swoon over her beautiful black and white portrait of the couple with some amazing sun flare to add some drama. Jacquie and Cameron’s session completed under one of the amazing oak trees in the park, the perfect ending for their romantic southern engagement session!
We love a day spent wandering the streets and parks of Charleston, and want to thank Jacquie and Cameron for allowing us to capture this special time. We look forward to photographing their wedding this summer!
