Lying just north of Charleston is Mount Pleasant, a booming suburban city that has become a favorite destination for weddings. Noni recently ventured to that corner of the Charleston area for a stunning, beach-inspired Wild Dunes Resort wedding and we’re excited to share her experience with you today! Hilary and Cory described their wedding day as coastal elegance as it was a destination wedding for all of their guests. From beginning to end, this unique theme pervaded all facets of the day. Hilary’s dress was beautifully Southern, a lace and linen gown with silver beading at the waist complimented by gorgeous diamond earrings and strapped heels. She assembled her flawless bridal look in a villa by the sea as her husband-to-be put the finishing touches on his dashing suit and tie ensemble.
The ceremony took pace underneath a pavilion with the ocean stretching to the horizon. We love the arrangements of zinnias capping each row and the wispy white curtains hanging behind the duo, creating the coastal elegance that they wanted. After exchanging their vows, the newlyweds and their parties headed to the sand for portraits and it was such a great time! We adore the pops of purple in Hilary’s and the maid of honor’s bouquets that honored their mother. Hilary was so beautiful in the dazzling sun with beach grass surrounding her and waves rolling in only feet away. They wrapped up their time away from family friends by snuggling close in a path lined by flowers in bloom. Their portraits are simply lovely.
The Sweetgrass Pavilion was decorated splendidly for the reception. Silver lanterns and white rose bouquets served as centerpieces on deep blue tablecloths surrounded by white wooden folding chairs. One of our favorite details was a wooden outline of South Carolina that served as the guestbook. What a wonderful idea that will hang on their wall for many years! Hilary and Cory joined their family and friends for an evening of delicious food provided by Wild Dunes and laughter. Through it all, Hilary and Cory never lost their smile and we were blessed to be a part of their beautiful day.
Thank you so much for allowing us the privilege of capturing your wedding and we wish you nothing but the best in the future. (Author’s Note: And hopefully a national championship for Butler. Go Bulldogs!) Congratulations again and good luck!
