Cana had the opportunity to photograph some charming Waterfront Park engagement portraits with Heather and Rob! Waterfront Park is located in downtown Charleston on the harbor and features a dock with huge swings, an iconic pineapple fountain and, as the name suggests, gorgeous waterfront views. Cana utilized the natural surroundings, beginning with the couple resting on one of Charleston’s many ironwork and wood benches. They were all smiles with ocean waves lapping gently only feet away. Afterwards, Heather and Rob took a stroll hand-in-hand among a line of maple trees with the ocean in the background. Rob took this opportunity to plant a sweet kiss on Heather’s forehead. Cana meanwhile quickly grabbed a picture of the bride-to-be’s beautiful ring.
After sittig for a spell on a nearby dock, Cana led the couple to several nearby streets, using natural elements and pieces of architecture to create iconic images that just shout “Charleston.” She opted for motion against a wall lined with filled arches and then let the couple have a cute moment in front of a wall of greenery. A gorgeous ironwork gate was next and Cana snapped several portraits of the couple being themselves framed by the beautiful opening. Strolling down the historic streets, Heather and Rob were again all smiles with Rob again stealing another forehead kiss underneath some hanging moss. The beautiful portraits ended with Heather holding onto Rob as he stared out over Charleston Harbor, marshes and the Battery stretching out behind them. It was a perfect closure to a simple, Charleston engagement portrait session.
We’re very excited to photograph this wonderful couple’s wedding later this year at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina.
