Downtown Charleston engagement portraits are always a blast to capture. The city has so much history and natural beauty to offer that every corner provides something for everyone. Bridgit was down on the peninsula for an afternoon with Grace and Thomas and the photos are beautiful. As Grace and Thomas are having a garden wedding, Grace wanted to find some of downtown’s greenery and cobblestones with a few brightly colored doors thrown in as a whimsical touch. They both enjoy the outdoors so they had a ton of fun trekking across the city looking for the perfect spots.
The day began a bit casual with the duo sporting comfortable clothes, eager to get things going. Thomas rocked a collared sea-foam green button-up with khakis and flip-flops while Grace was beautiful in her light blue sundress and sandals. They looked right at home surrounded by ivy and cobblestones. Their smiles are infectious! We always enjoy it when couples bring their furbabies with them and Seagrave the Dalmatian was not camera shy!
They pair explored quiet lanes near the Battery before changing into a bit more formal attire. Grace’s white sundress was perfect for the warm afternoon and she looked amazing next to Thomas, quite handsome himself in his grey suit. We love that the two were open for a little impromptu dancing on the cobblestones, and Grace’s laughter lit up the quiet alley. They found a few colorful doors and lots of springtime blooms for their portraits, creating some lovely moments that we’re so happy to have captured.
Thank you again for choosing us for your engagement portraits, and we can’t wait for your perfect day next Spring. Congratulations again!
