Emily & John { Kiawah Island Wedding }

Emily set off to the beach for an intimate Kiawah Island wedding, and we’re elated to share some of our favorite moments with you!  With private beaches, gorgeous resorts and all of Charleston’s charm, Kiawah is an ideal locale for anyone looking for a quiet wedding.  Emily caught up with our bride (also an Emily) as she was putting the finishing touches on her bridal ensemble.  Her classic open-backed dress was absolutely gorgeous and complimented perfectly by silver beading across the waist and matching silver and white shoes.  John was no slouch himself in his mixed grey suit with open-collared shirt as he awaited Emily for their special first look.

An outdoor patio held the grand reveal and John’s grin was so wide when he laid eyes on Emily.  Surrounded by all of the green, their whites and greys were featured beautifully and we couldn’t have asked for better scenery!  Out on the beach, light wooden chairs arced around where the duo would exchange vows.  Two absolutely adorable flower girls led the way down the boardwalk, followed by the stunning bride.  After a brief interruption from the ring bearer, Emily and John made it official and sealed it with a kiss!  They mingled for a few moments with their gathered friends and family before venturing out with Emily for newlywed portraits.

The beaches of Kiawah are beautiful, filled with stunning ocean views of course, but it’s the beach-grass lined boardwalks and hidden paths that make the location special.  Emily found many spots for lovely portraits in the fading afternoon light – especially the one on the boardwalk leading through the trees.  The duo appear to be off on an adventure and we’re excited to have captured the moment!

Thank you both again for allowing us to share in this beautiful day with you.  We wish you nothing but health and happiness as you continue on in this life together!  Congratulations again!

    Chris - Really beautifully captured wedding and the location looks really beautiful. Certainly a lot nicer than grey Scotland where I have to photograph weddings!ReplyCancel
