A beautiful bride, many lovely locations and all of the charm you can handle defined a recent Hibernian Hall wedding and we’re thrilled to share some of Shannon’s experiences with you today! Emily and Grant met in Washington, DC and now share a life in Greenville, SC with their labradoodle, Jacks. Their love of a beautiful setting was inspirational to Shannon as she captured them as part of their surroundings and the resulting portraits are gorgeous. Emily’s bridal look was true Southern chic – a lace-embellished gown complimented by textured silver heels and a luxurious all white bouquet accented with lamb’s ear. Their first look in an intimate brick courtyard was simply stunning and we love their portraits in front of a filled in fireplace with a ton of personality. Before heading off to make it official, the duo gathered their wedding party for one last shot.
The ceremony was held in the French Protestant Huguenot Church on Queen Street. The church itself was the décor with its rich wood, high vaulted ceilings and delicate ornamentation throughout. The ceremony was traditional but oh so gorgeous and then visitors and Charlestonians alike were treated to a wedding procession featuring some lively brass music. They were greeted by the ironwork archway of Hibernian Hall and it was time to eat some delicious food and make memories!
The interior of Hibernian Hall is rather eclectic with a striking black and white checkerboard floor in the entrance giving way to deeply polished wood and soft pink walls in the reception hall. The palette of white, gold and pink along with delicate details created a lovely, romantic environment. Southern classy is the best way to describe the reception, with the familial and inviting atmosphere and an endless supply of soft beauty. We enjoyed being a part of the energy and love in the room as everyone took to the dance floor and just had themselves the time of their lives. And in the middle of it all were Emily and Grant, dancing along with everyone else, enjoying the most important day of their lives together. Simply perfect.
Thank you both again for being so wonderful and allowing us to take part in your wedding day and the months leading up to it. We wish you the best of luck as you trek back up to Greenville to continue making that city the best it can be. Congratulations again!
