Elizabeth & Allen { Harborside East Wedding }

Amanda recently headed east of the Cooper River for a simply lovely Harborside East wedding, and we’re thrilled to share our favorite moments with you today! Elizabeth and Allen met at Blu on Folly Beach, shared a dance and the rest is history. We were actually lucky enough to photograph this fun couple’s engagement portraits last summer, focusing on the many charms of Charleston. What we loved most about them is that they were up for anything and really just wanted to share as many moments with each other as possible. That’s what makes their wedding so memorable and the moments so amazing – despite weather that just wouldn’t cooperate, they never stopped smiling.

From the bride, to her party, to the dapper groom and his entourage, to the venue itself, the entire day was stylish. Elizabeth stunned in her lace gown accented by a beaded belt and delicate gold sandals. Allen’s grey suit matched Elizabeth’s timeless look perfectly and his blue tie added a pop of color. Hanging wisteria and a lovely path of trees were perfect backdrops for the first look.  After enjoying a few moments alone, the duo were joined by their respective parties, with the bridesmaids’ lovely dresses matching the deep blue of the groomsmen’s ties. The post-ceremony picture of everyone together was fantastic, made perfect by the newlywed’s undeniable elation.

The path of trees was a beautiful choice for portraits as it provided natural beauty but also perfectly framed a few bridal portraits. Don’t you just love Elizabeth with branches reaching up all around her, Charleston harbor stretching into the distance. She had mentioned that she wanted a timeless wedding day and her look and that location were perfect. Inside, Harborside’s bright and inviting reception hall was transformed into a romantic setting for an amazing celebration. The all white floral and gold accented centerpieces looked fantastic against the rustic wood walls and floors. All that was missing were the bride and groom, who came in ready to get the party started. As the crowd gathered around, the smiling newlyweds shared their first dance to John Legend’s beautiful “All of Me.”

Elizabeth and Allen, thank you both so much for allowing us to share this journey with you. You two have been an amazing couple to spend time with and we wish you both health and happiness in the years to come. Congratulations again!!!
