Emily had the privilege of capturing a few downtown Charleston anniversary portraits and we’re excited to share our favorites with you today! Eric and Casey met in their native Greenville and dated through college, surviving the dreaded long distance relationship. They wanted to commemorate their one year anniversary and what better place than their current hometown, right here in the Holy City!
They began the afternoon on a quiet street with a wall of ivy and little white flowers behind them. Casey looked radiant in her pale cream patterned dress. Eric’s combo of navy slacks and baby blue button-up complimented Casey’s look perfectly. Emily was able to capture a few sweet kisses as the couple strolled down a cobblestone road. They are so perfect together and their genuine happiness together is palpable. The romantic moments that Emily photographed are lovely with the surrounding buildings specked with wrought iron and lanterns adding a touch of southern charm.
After a quick wardrobe change, it was time to find a few unique locales. Casey opted for an off-the-shoulders black dress with tan strapped heels. A quick stop in front of a green door (for that little pop of color) and a nearby polished wood door and it was back to the cobblestone for the last few portraits. We always look forward to couples who are willing to dance a little, or a gentleman who wants to hoist his lady up for a twirl and Casey and Eric gave us a bit of both. We adore these two and it was the perfect end to such a lovely day.
Thank you for once again bringing us along into your lives. We feel honored to have photographed engagement portraits, your gorgeous wedding and now your first anniversary. We wish you nothing but good health and happiness as you continue forward together.
