Cammie & Joe { Confederate Home Wedding }

Amanda had the privilege of photographing a beautiful Confederate Home wedding and we’re excited to share some lovely moments from the day with you! Cammie and Joe met while working at Fort Monmouth in New Jersey and are a fun, lively couple that Amanda had a blast photographing. The day began with a special first look between the couple. Cammie’s vintage styled gown featured lace cap sleeves that transition into a loose back sheath. This was complimented beautifully with an embellished belt and textured dot skirt. Joe was quite dapper in his royal blue suit, which was a perfect compliment with Cammie’s vintage inspired look. We love the rich colorful and textured walls of the Confederate Home. They make for a unique and timeless backdrop for the couple’s portraits.

Cammie and Joe’s ceremony took place under a majeetic twisting oak tree. We love that a little bit of rain didn’t factor into people’s good time and smiles were aplenty despite the elements. After exchanging vows and sealing them with a kiss, Cammie and Joe embraced the courtyard’s beauty for a few more portraits. The brick wall photograph is fantastic and we love the secret garden feel in the image. The newlyweds gave Amanda as much time as they could, but the reception was waiting and the rain was falling. It was time to head inside for food and fun!

“Treat Yo Self,” the evening’s mantra greeted guests as they arrived to Marion’s in the French Quarter for the reception. The exposed brick, wood and cream interior of the space worked beautifully with the sophisticated yet playful theme interwoven throughout the day. Tablescapes featured handcrafted table numbers by Cammie’s father and perfectly fall floral designs that featured lamb’s ear and burgundy chrysanthemum. After a delicious, candlelit dinner from Cru Catering, Cammie and Joe shared their first dance to one of their favorite indie songs. The remainder of the evening was spent dancing and sharing cocktails with family and friends. Deciding they’d enjoyed enough great food and greater company, the newlyweds departed Marion’s underneath a shower of sparklers, heading out into the night to start the next adventure together.

We here at Riverland Studios thank you both so much for choosing us to capture your fun wedding day and we wish you nothing but the best from life as you both move forward together. Congratulations again!
