Shannon recently had the privilege of capturing an intimate and beautiful White Point Gardens wedding and we’re quite happy to be able to share them with you today! White Point Gardens is a public park near Charleston’s iconic Battery and is perfect for smaller weddings and for outdoor or Charleston enthusiasts. Caitlin and James wanted a “Charleston at Christmas” atmosphere for their special day and we were blessed to be able to capture it for them. Caitlin chose the Belmond Charleston Place to get ready for her wedding. Her timeless, flowy gown was absolutely stunning with its accents of lace and beading. Petite earrings, brooch and shoes completed the stylish and classic ensemble. And we absolutely love the Pekingese puppy and his handsome bow tie!
After some beautiful bridal portraits amidst the sprawling live oaks of White Point Gardens, it was time for the ceremony in the centerpiece gazebo. Decorated for the season with some boughs of holly accented by gyp and tiny roses, the gazebo glistened under the sun. After exchanging vows with the beautiful park serving as their backdrop, Caitlin and James walked amongst the trees for their newlywed portraits. They spent a little bit of time on the gazebo with their dapper dog before trekking to nearby streets to capture some of Charleston’s Christmas charm. We love the pine boughs twisted around a beautiful Charleston ironwork gate and arch.
When it comes to Charleston, the city really comes alive during the Christmas season and that’s especially true of Belmond Charleston Place and the famous Charleston Grill. One of Charleston’s premiere hotels and restaurants, Charleston Place features a classy décor of dark wood and dual staircases. For a couple looking to incorporate Charleston Christmas into their wedding day, choosing this iconic hotel as their reception venue was excellent. Their portraits in the lobby of the hotel and in front of one of the many ornately decorated trees were absolutely stunning and fit their theme beautifully. Capping off their day in the marble courtyard framed by French doors adorned by gorgeous gold wreaths was an excellent end to such a beautiful event.
We would like to thank the both of you again for including us in your wedding day and wish you nothing but happiness in the new year and the many years you’ll have together. Congratulations again!
