Caitlin and Al, Charleston natives, first met over six years ago while they were students at Bishop England High School. After graduating, she went on to nursing school and Al attended the Citadel. The historic college has played a large role in their relationship so it made perfect sense for them to marry at Summerall Chapel on the Citadel’s campus in a Catholic ceremony. For the celebration the couple chose Hibernian Hall, a venue that Caitlin’s parents and other relatives have also held their wedding reception. Selecting a ceremony site and venue that was meaningful to not only the couple, but to their family was a part of their wedding inspiration to focus on tradition. Caitlin wanted details that mirrored her parents’ wedding, but also reflected Al and her. Their soiree had a soft blush and blue palette that included swoon-worthy cascading bouquets created by The Flower Cottage. The floral design also included lots of flowers and greenery on the tablescapes and fireplaces. Incorporating nature was important to Caitlin because Al and she love being outdoors. She lists some of their favorite activities as fishing, biking, camping, traveling, and boating. After dining on delicious cuisine from Hamby Catering, guests satiated their sweet tooth with a 4-tier cake crafted by Artistic Cakes by Linda. The couple departed through silver streamers into a vintage getaway car. Congratulations to this wonderful couple!
