Beth & Kevin { Alhambra Hall Wedding }

Just a short drive north of Charleston, Mount Pleasant is an in-demand locale for weddings with many gorgeous venues.  An Alhambra Hall wedding is always a crowd-pleaser, featuring stunning waterfront views and a reception space that is nothing less than breathtaking.  Priscilla had the opportunity to capture Beth and Kevin’s wedding at this lovely venue, and we’re excited to share some of her experiences with you today.  The duo met on the beach, and Kevin proposed on the beach; so, it was only fitting that their ceremony happen on the sands out at Folly.  Beth’s dress was a dream – a silver beaded bodice with a lovely train complimented by strapped white wedges.  Heirloom earrings and necklace rounded out the elegant ensemble.

Sporting a sand-colored three piece with sky blue bow tie, Kevin was quite handsome himself as he gazed out onto the waves waiting for Beth’s arrival.  Their first-look on the beach was lovely and their smiles outshone the spring day.  They walked for a little ways down the beach, laughing and taking in the moment.  We were treated to a kiss or two and just fell in love with their fun personalities.  They headed off to a private garden and met up with their families for a few photos before taking in some alone time on a swing.  Their lightheartedness fit the casual atmosphere of their wedding perfectly.

Lines of white chairs sat along the shore, each topped with fun blue shades.  White linen flitted in the breeze on top of the bamboo chuppah.  Gorgeous white and fuchsia flowers matching Beth’s bouquet added a pretty pop of color to the expanse of blue and tan.  Beth was simply stunning as she made her way to Kevin’s side.  With a few words, two rings, one kiss, breaking of the glass, and a round of applause, they became newlyweds.  Having already posed for a ton of pictures, the couple were ready to get the party started and Alhambra Hall awaited!

Blue-clothed tables greeted guests as they arrived and the open interior and soft candlelight invited them into the hall.  An exposed brick fireplace is the perfect centerpiece and compliments the beautiful exposed wood and modern southern decor.  Breads, cheeses, and wines were scattered around the room, inviting everyone to gather round and catch up on their lives.  After getting a few bites and a few laughs with their friends and family, Priscilla stole Beth and Kevin away one last time for sunset portraits.  The golden hue on the water and the light orange sky created a stunning backdrop and breathtaking photos.  As the sun set on Alhambra Hall, the party inside was just heating up and lasted long into the night.  It was a lively end to one of our favorite weddings.

Thank you both so much for inviting us into your family and affording us the privilege of capturing such a beautiful day.  We wish you nothing but health and happiness as you move forward together in this next chapter of your lives!
