The Austs { Kiawah Island Family Portraits }

Bridgit spent some time on the beach capturing some beautiful Kiawah Island family portraits, and we’re excited to bring you our favorites today!  A surprise portrait session is a perfect way to commemorate a family vacation, especially since it may be a rare occasion where everyone can get together in the same place.  We always look forward to spending time with these families just having fun, which always makes for amazing portraits!

The Austs chose a location near their condo on Kiawah for their portraits and coordinated their outfits to fit the colors of the beach.  The guys sported button-ups of varying blues and paired them with either khakis or jeans, a classic and casual summer look for the Holy City.  The ladies outfits differed, with one beautiful blue dress and a light button up and capris.  The scene stealer, though, was the little one in her adorable baby blue dress and white shoes.  Her bright smile lit up every picture she was in.

The condos at Kiawah are a great location for portraits, featuring light and airy spaces, lush green lawns and are just a short walk from some of the area’s best beaches.  Bridgit took the family all around and found beautiful spots for their portraits.  We love how something as simple as a brick ledge can be the perfect spot for portraits and we adore the photo of the granddaughter squeezing her grandmother.  It was such a sweet moment and made for a memorable portrait!  On the sands, with beach grass reaching into the blue sky, Bridgit found a perfect spot in the fading afternoon light and ended the day with the little girl dragging her parents along to play in the waves.

Thank you all so much for inviting us to join in your vacation for a short while.  We had so much fun with you and hope your vacation was relaxing and full of laughter!
