We’re happy to share some breathtaking images from a recent Old Sheldon Church wedding with you today! Located in Yemassee, South Carolina, about an hour’s drive from Charleston, the ruins of the Old Sheldon Church are absolutely stunning, lending an air of some forgotten era to the area’s lovely scenery. Bridgit was excited to head out to this unique venue and used all of the ruins and its surroundings in the portraits. Andrea and Robbie are both officers in the Army and, even though stationed at different bases, have built a life together for themselves and their families. For their intimate wedding, they wanted something new and interesting that not many have done and the Old Sheldon Church was perfect!
They began with some portraits of the bride and groom together. Robbie was handsome in his blue-grey suit and perfectly matched Andrea’s champagne-colored sheath gown with embroidery and bead accents. A necklace with a circle pendant rounded out the bridal look. With branches sprawled all around them, the duo shared a few moments holding onto one another. The church ruins in the background added a bit of idyllic flavor, especially the wide vacant windows, and was perfect for the nuptials. Andrea and Robbie exchanged vows under one of the beautiful trees in the courtyard, surrounded by family. It was family, after all, that bound these two together and once they’d finally combined theirs, they made it a point to bring them all in for some beautiful portraits. Then, it was off to a private beach house for a quiet dinner celebration.
We would like to thank the both of you for bringing us into your intimate ceremony to chronicle such a beautiful wedding. We hope that the future holds many wonders for you and your new family. Congratulations again!
