Shannon headed east of the Cooper River for an absolutely stunning Boone Hall Plantation wedding, and we’re thrilled to share her experiences with you today. Nestled against the banks of Horlbeck Creek, Boone Hall features gorgeous natural vistas and a touch of history to accompany the tons of charm. Alli and Ryan wanted something airy and elegant for their wedding and the Cotton Dock was the perfect venue. Strung with lights and overlooking the lovely marsh, the dockhouse was transformed by wispy white curtains. Nearby on the avenue of oaks, the bridal party was all smiles around Alli. Her linen and chiffon gown was complimented by a beautiful pink and white bouquet and the blush palette of the bridesmaids gowns. Ryan was incredibly handsome in his suit with bright pink tie. His groomsmen matched him perfectly, only exchanging his bright pink for a lighter hue.
On the dock, the arrival of the handsome ring bearer and an OH SO ADORABLE flower girl with a baby’s breath bouquet and flower crown heralded the presence of the bride. Alli and Ryan exchanged vows under a grey sky that thankfully let a little sunlight through and sealed the deal with a sweet kiss! Shannon immediately took them to the plantation house and the manicured grounds for some beautiful newlywed portraits. Beneath the outstretched limbs of the live oaks strewn with Spanish moss, the duo clung to one another just thrilled to be one family. They were joined by their wedding party and we still can’t get enough of the flower girl! The palette of pinks was a gorgeous pop against the greys, greens and browns of the plantation.
Inside of the dockhouse, distressed white wood table and chairs rested beneath gold birdcage chandeliers – creating an idyllic and charming atmosphere. Gorgeous floral displays accented with red and pink roses were the perfect centerpieces. After a delicious dinner from Hamby Catering, everyone took to the dance floor for a night of partying! Soon, though, it was time for the newlyweds to make their getaway and a stretched limousine awaited them. They departed beneath an arc of sparklers held by their cheering guests. It was a fun end to such a beautiful day.
Thank you both again for having us to capture your wedding day – we had such a blast. We hope that things are going fantastic for you as you continue in this life together! Congratulations again!
