Albina and Grey have a great story. A few years back, Albina, in her last semester of college was waitress at a pub. One evening, there was what seemed to be an attractive young couple seated at one of her tables. Upon meeting them she discovered that the woman spoke great Russian (Albina’s native language), and they spent the evening chatting as she’d come by their table. At the end of dinner as Albina delivered the check, the woman said to her in Russian “my cousin thinks you’re beautiful”. Albina was so surprised! Shortly after these two fell in love and were engaged!
Albina and Grey’s beautiful ceremony took place on the lawn overlooking the harbor at Patriots Point. The altar was flanked by two gorgeous white floral arrangements and the isle was covered in white petals carefully arranged in a “K” for the couple’s last name. Patriots Point is a great venue for wedding portraits and we just love the the moments Shannon captured of these two. There is so much love between Albina and Grey and you can really see it in the photos.
The reception was held on the Patriots Point Pavilion lawn next to the golf course and was ornately decorated with soft blue and white details, including tall vases of hydrangeas and a wedding cake that looks right out of a fairytale! Albina’s family also incorporated some Russian traditions into the wedding day and one of our favorites was the Korovai, a bread offered to the newly weds by their parents. It is meant to symbolize community and the circle of life. The Korovai is also traditionally decorated with love birds!
After dinner and toasts these two enjoyed a lively night of dancing and celebration with friends and family. Shannon had a great time capturing all the joy and love! Congratulations Albina and Grey!
