Haley ventured east of the Cooper River to capture some beautiful Boone Hall Plantation engagement portraits and we’re elated to share some of our favorites today. Boone Hall is one of Charleston’s most in-demand wedding venues, and it’s not hard to see why. Endless southern charm surrounds a locale that is a slice of Charleston’s past with enough natural beauty to satisfy any theme. Jennifer and Chris were looking for portraits exuding high fashion that would stand out from the crowd in their native California. They started the day beneath the arch of branches along the avenue of oaks. Jennifer’s blue sequined gown was gorgeous and Chris was very handsome in his dark blue three-piece suit. The couple looked right at home in the majestic outdoors, a vision of culture and sophistication amongst the idyllic surroundings of historic architecture and grandiose oak trees.
After a wardrobe change, it was time to head to Downtown Charleston to find hidden gems for the perfect portraits. Jennifer was radiant in her classic red dress and her flawless hair and makeup to compliment her simply regal look. Next to her, Chris was debonair in his black tux as the two held on to one another around town. We love Charleston’s eclectic architecture and the perfect blend of nature and preserved buildings. Vine covered walls created the ideal backgrounds for portraits exuding the Charleston spirit and we love any moments spent on lanes of cobbled stone. After a surprise visit from a few monks, it was time to call it an afternoon. Haley spent the last few moments with the duo on a rounded stair, looking completely content with the world.
Thank you both for inviting us into your lives for the day and we wish you nothing but the best as you move toward your wedding. Congratulations again!
